Welcome to Scout Troop 984! Established in 2004, our troop has proudly served our community for 20 years, fostering leadership, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors. Over the years, we have had the honor of seeing 94 Scouts achieve the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to our commitment to excellence in Scouting.

We are a vibrant and active troop, with a dedicated group of Scouts, troop leaders, and parents who work together to create meaningful experiences. Our troop is proudly youth-led, allowing Scouts to take charge and develop essential leadership skills while adult leaders and parents provide guidance and supervision.

Adventure is at the heart of our program! We embark on a high-adventure trip each year, offering Scouts the opportunity to challenge themselves and explore new frontiers. Additionally, we organize at least one campout every month, ensuring plenty of opportunities for outdoor skills, camaraderie, and personal growth.

The aims and methods of Scouting

The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.  The Scouting program has specific objectives, commonly referred to as the “Aims of Scouting.” They are character development, leadership development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Leadership development is also one of Scouting’s eight methods contributing to both good character and good citizenship.
