Camping

Camping is at the heart of scouting, offering opportunities to explore the outdoors, develop survival skills, and foster teamwork. We hold monthly campouts throughout the year, along with an annual week-long summer camp and a high adventure trip, providing scouts with invaluable experiences.

Community Service

Community service is a core value of scouting, providing scouts with opportunities to give back, develop empathy, and make a meaningful impact in their communities. It helps scouts understand the importance of civic duty and develop a sense of responsibility. Through various service projects, they gain valuable leadership skills and learn how to work as a team. STEM & Merit Badges

STEM and merit badges are key components of scouting, offering scouts opportunities to explore diverse fields of knowledge and develop valuable skills. From science and technology to hands-on trades and life skills, scouts engage in learning experiences that foster curiosity, problem-solving, and personal growth. These activities encourage scouts to pursue their interests and prepare for future careers while achieving recognition for their accomplishments.

Leadership & Development

Leadership development is a cornerstone of scouting, equipping scouts with the skills and confidence needed to guide their peers and take on greater responsibilities. Through hands-on experiences, scouts learn the value of teamwork, communication, and decision-making. Order of the Arrow

The Order of the Arrow (OA) is Scouting's national honor society, recognizing scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. It provides opportunities for leadership, service, and fellowship through unique programs and events. Our troop is proud to be part of the Shawnee Lodge, within the Boone Trails chapter, which offers a variety of activities that promote cheerful service and personal growth.
